The construction industry is one of the most resource-intensive sectors in the Netherlands, consuming over 40% of the country's materials and energy. All these material waste streams amount to about 4 million tons per year, but there's an enormous potential to endlessly reuse them. A circular economy unlocks this potential for reuse, preserving natural ecosystems, reducing CO2 emissions, and intelligently and sustainably designing buildings and living environments.
